Darwinian Propaganda

Can someone say that these scientists are taking the art of media propaganda to a new level?

Really interesting. I'm thinking that things like this make someone else very happy. And Someone else sad. More reason to be grounded in God's word and to beg for strength to face the growing majority.

Yes. But it's still an important fossil.

The least sensational article I've read about this discovery can be found here.

Thanks Greenchickadee and Vera.

Vera: sorry, but I hardly consider PZ Meyers to be anything but sensational. When he starts his first sentence by saying the fossil is 47 million years old, I have a hard time following him on the rest. At least in the CBS article thy said that the fossil is "claimed to be 47 million years old."

PZ Meyers has his sensational moments, but this was not one of them. And if you'd take a few minutes to read the rest of the article, I trust you'd find that out.

Thanks, Vera. I did read the rest of the article and he is pretty even-handed - though the reason he seems to downplay Ida's significance is because he feels the fossil record is already established enough to demonstrate common descent. It simply does not, however.
